Administrator Training

Administrative sessions are offered face-to-face and in a live webinar format each quarter regionally across the state of Georgia. Classes can also be scheduled on site for groups. 

40 Hour Director

​Bright From the Start requires the 40 Hour Director class for all individuals opening a new child care facility in the state of Georgia and recommends the class for new Directors to learn the basic rules and regulations for operating a child care facility. 
All formats are 40 Hours and are supported by online resources and information on our Canvas.Instructure site which will be made accessible after registration.

Face-to-Face
The session consists of pre-assignments and two face-to-face class days. The pre-assignments are available upon registration and must be completed prior to the first day of class. Online support is available if needed when completing the pre-assignments.

Webinar:
This format meet for three days via ZOOM Webinar where Pre-Assignments are discussed and the most relevant modules discussed in an open learning format.

Online:
All assignments for this format are online using the Canvas.Instructure site. Once registered, the link will be sent to create a user name and password and the course is available immediately. There is no time limit for any module or course completion.

This 40 Hour Director is self-paced and all online.

You will receive an email confirmation after registration and a link from coursesites.com with information about the course.

Upon completion, the certificate will be emailed to the email address used during the registration process.

40 Hour Director Webinar Event

The welcome link for the online portion of the course will be sent from Canvas.Instructure.com upon registration. The LIVE class will be held for four days from 10am - 1pm and will be recorded for those who cannot view live.

Assignments must be completed prior to the course sessions and attendance is required at all sessions for certification. All assignments will be turned in on the canvas website.

40 Hour Director ​Face to Face

Bright From the Start requires the 40 Hour Director course for all individuals opening a child care center in the state of Georgia. This course is a hybrid class with pre-assignments emailed upon registration and the face-to-face class taking place in one of four locations: Augusta, Savannah, Brunswick or Gainesville.

Lunch is on your own, but a menu will be available at the venue for meal choices on day one of class for food delivery each day.

Training for Trainers Classes

Training for Trainers I, II, and III classes are the required courses for individuals who want to become state approved trainers to research, develop, and teach child care courses to early learning professionals.

Access the Trainer Application for the state of Georgia for specific qualifications that are required for the initial Trainer Designation, then register for the appropriate class to learn how to navigate the Georgia Trainer Approval system, write classes for approval and through the approval process for Intermediate and Advanced level classes. 

Face-to-Face:
In all Face-to-Face classes, Pre-assignments will be assigned at registration for completion prior to Day 1. Trainer I is a 2-day class.
Trainer II and Trainer III require pre-assignments and a 1-day class. 


Online:
Online classes have no pre-assignment requirement. Once registered, the link will be sent within 2 hours. All assignments are online.

Webinar:
The webinar format consists of four, live webinar days for Trainer I and two webinar days for Trainer II. Pre-assignments are given upon enrollment and assignments are given each evening as the training plans for each level are created.

This 20 hour course is presented online through Canvas.

TFT II challenges participants to look at their training plans in a new light and create classes for child care professionals that are thought provoking. This course is designed to be completed following TFT I or for those approved trainers looking to develop Intermediate Level Classes.

Advanced Level Classes


This 20 hour course is presented online through coursesites.com. 

TFT III presents participants with several options for developing an advanced level course for child care professionals. Once completed and trainer designation approved, this course will allow trainers to create and teach Advanced Level Courses.

While there is no pre-requisite for taking this course, participants must have a Master's Degree to be approved by the Georgia Training Approval Department as an Advanced Trainer III.

Training for Trainers I: Face-to-Face

This 40 hour course is presented in person with pre-assignments leading up to the first class day. Learn basic concepts in adult education and all information about the Georgia Training Approval process.

Lunch is catered by the hotel at no additional charge. The menu will be available the week prior to the conference with all former options.

An optional Adult/Pediatric CPR/Aid/AED online course is offered as an additional session with this class for an additional $80.

This 20 hour course propels learning to the highest level by analyzing results from research studies, focus groups, and observations and creating a construct based on the results. The Advanced class can be taken at any time and credit received, however, the Trainer III designation cannot be achieved until a Master's Degree is obtained.

The Training for Trainers II webinar session is a way to re-ignite your passion for training and continue your journey through the training approval system. This 20-hour course begins with online pre-assignments that help you discover the differences in the Beginner and Intermediate trainer designation. Then, the 3-hour webinar will allow you to have face-to-face contact with the trainer.

The final assignment is the creation of an Intermediate Training plan for review.
