The Red Cross was founded in 1881 by Clara Barton as a humanitarian agency helping soldiers in WWI. Today, the Red Cross supplies more than 40% of the nations blood products and delivers classes to more than 5 million people each year.

In 1948, the American Heart Association was formed into the voluntary health organization that we know today. It has grown since then to an organization that utilizes over 33 million volunteers with a vision to educate the nation regarding health and safety to prevent heart disease and assist injured individuals.

Red Cross Instructor Course
This is an online class designed to work though the science of the Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED classes. If you have a current certification, and a desire to teach life-saving skills to the community, then register for this course today. The course work online must be completed before the first day of class. Short assignments will be given and reviewed in class.

Stop the Bleed - First Aid for Severe Trauma
Wilderness First Aid highlights the principles of basic First Aid and safety while focusing on stabilizing injuries for transport to safety when rapid transport is not available.

ServSafe Training
The ServSafe Food Manager course provides a basic foundation of food safety concepts tp protect the public from foodborne illness. Individuals that successfully pass the 90-question, multiple-choice exam will receive a ServSafe Manager Certification and wallet card. Additional Classes
Babysitter's CertificationReady for your teen to start a summer babysitting career? This class, endorsed by the Red Cross, is designed for participants ages 11-15 to introduce them to child development and basic health and safety concepts, and talks about babysitting as a business.
CPR and First Aid is also offered for those who choose the face-to-face class, are not already certified and over the age of 13. Please pack a lunch for the day. Snacks will be served. The next Face-to-Face sessions are 10am - 2pm at the following locations: To Be Announced for Fall 2022. Coming Soon Bluffton, South Carolina Fee: $60 Participants 13 and older can choose to get certified in Pediatric CPR/First Aid from 2pm-3pm for an additional $20 fee. |
Fire Safety TrainingFire Safety is now offered Face-to-Face and as a webinar! This class is required by both the state Fire Marshall and Bright From the Start every 3 years. Keep your staff compliant by registering for this webinar today!
All classes have a final assessment at the end of the course prior to certification. Certificates will be available on the oci.ga.gov website 24 hours after the class ends.
