Join us for an interactive food prep cooking adventure as we address common issues with food safety and work to eliminate unsafe kitchen conditions. This event will satisfy 2 of the 4 state approved hours required for Directors in Food/Nutrition topics for the year!
Cut out of work and come hang with other local directors for a while! Join us every other month for a Hot Topic Chat by a special guest speaker and Q&A with local Child Care Licensing Consultants.

State Approved Training
State Approved Training sessions are 2-hour classes that can be combined with health and safety classes throughout the day at any of our conferences. The new Webinar Wednesday series and out upcoming regional conferences will offer new state approved sessions each time.

Child Development Associate Classes
Child Development Associate (CDA) classes will begin in February. This 120-hour comprehensive class prepares students for working as a Lead Teacher and Administrator in an early care and learning setting.
This 12-week session utilizes the Essentials Manual in alignment with the Functional Goals of the CDA program to teach the principles needed for candidates to complete the credentialling process with the CDA Council.

Fire Safety is required every 3 years for Georgia Child Care Employees and within the first 90 days of employment for new hires.
This course is lecture based and requires a short quiz at the end of the session for completion. Notes will be given during class.

Health and Safety Orientation
The Health and Safety Orientation session is presented in two parts at our child care conferences (morning and afternoon) to complete the full 6 hour course. Participants must complete both sessions to receive certification. If Child Abuse training is needed as well, a link will be sent prior to the face-to-face conference and completion verified prior to the end of the session.

Class time for the Orientation course is 8:30am - 12:30 and 1:30pm-3:30pm.
